New Year, Better Goals, Get Inspired… Create your own Vision Board

Visualisation these days has almost become a super power and the concept of visual approach has now been adopted as a highly successful method of reaching goals. A practical way of visualising goals are to create a Vision Board.

This is almost like a collage-like project where it gets filled with images, words or objects that addresses your specific goals. When creating a vision board, make sure you are at the center of it, as it is all about what YOU want, whether it is a business or personal vision board.

It’s believed that once you see your goals, you are more likely to achieve it, as it creates a feeling of positivity and teaches your brain what resources you’ll need to succeed.

A practical way of visualising goals are to create a Vision Board. This is almost like a collage like project where it gets filled with images, words or objects that addresses your specific goals. When creating a vision board, make sure you are at the center of it, as it is all about what YOU want, whether it is a business or personal vision board.

Here are a couple of pointers to get you started

1. Evaluate

Look at what goals you’ve had last year and if you’ve achieved them and still desire them. Also determine what new goals you have for 2018.

2. Brainstorm

Look for images you can print, page through magazines and photos. Gather materials that you love and make sure you have a whole pile of stuff to use before starting. You don’t want to look for more stuff   once you’ve started, you should rather be picking and choosing to avoid frustration and losing interest.

3. Plan

Start arranging all the pictures and words on the board. Have fun while playing around with the layout. You should feel inspired when looking at your board.

4. Apply

Once you’ve sorted through all the images and decided on a layout you can start sticking or pinning them down. Go with the flow and “feel” your way around. Trust your instinct. Once completed hang it up where you can look at it daily.
